I ended up making 6 cuts and playing 23 lands: Kozilek's Channeler, Skitterskin, Valakut Predator, Valakut Invoker, Carrier Thrall, and Makindi Sliderunner. It felt weird cutting all those perfectly reasonable non-devoid cards.
I lost in round 1 to a doofy looking RW deck. All 3 games came down to a race, and in games 2 and 3 I lost the race to Ondu Rising, a card that I generally don't think is very good. It absolutely trashed me though, especially in game 3 where I set up a great Swarm Surge turn to bring my opponent down to 3 (with Rolling Thunder in hand) only to just get attacked for 10 points with lifelink on the next turn.
I thought this deck was great, but I guess a pitfall of these super linear decks is that they can be kind of narrow.
